The RACV-AOMC Classic Showcase is on Sunday 30 March. This is a marquee event for the PCCV and you are urged to be part of it. The club concours is again being held in conjunction with the RACV-AOMC Classic Showcase, at Flemington racecourse. As this is our 60th anniversary the club has requested extra space this year because we are expecting a large fleet of Peugeots to grace the lawns of the members’ car park. You can download the site plan at www.aomc.asn.au/B&Eshow14.htm. And if you want to enter the Car of the Show competition, download the entry form at www.aomc.asn.au/CarOfShowEntryCSC14.pdf. The gates will open at 9am and you enter from Epsom Road, Melway 28, G12. Entry is $15 per car (no matter how many people are inside). We always put on a good show at this event, and in 2012 our relatively small offering won a prize for best club display. John Marriott’s magnificent black 403 also won the trophy for the best post-war European car, the fifth time he has taken the trophy home. And last year Robert Pavlov’s 404 was unlucky not to win Car of the Show with his sparkling 404. As well as hundreds of cars from all Britain, Europe and Japan (including expansive displays by the MG, Austin Healey and Morris clubs), there will be specialist automotive stalls, music, kids’ entertainment and plenty of food and drink to sustain you. So polish up your best Pug, get the family or a group of friends together and come along to Flemington for a great day.
