The Pakenham Auto Club has invited the PCCV to a full weekend of club motorsport. The Supplementary Regulations for this weekend will be on www.pakenhamautoclub.org.au or contact gladfish@netspace.net.au. Saturday offers the opportunity for drivers to receive coaching from top rally drivers. Also a chance to try out different things with their cars. This event will take place on the PAC new track layout, which offers more scope than on a motorkhana ground. This is not a competition, there will be no timing and no scores. However friends are welcome to time each other. Sunday will be a club khanacross. The object of this competition is for each driver to complete all the tests in the prescribed manner, in the shortest time without incurring penalties. Like motorkhanas, a khanacross has start and finish garages, and competitors run one at a time; their time for each test is recorded. However, unlike motorkhanas, tests will be clearly marked with appropriate arrows and direction markers to avoid the dreaded Wrong Direction penalties. Distance between turns is greater than in motorkhanas, allowing competitors to drive faster. Drivers will need to wear safety helmets and have a fire extinguisher mounted securely in the car. This event will also be run on the PAC new track layout.
