Everyone is welcome at the Slippery Dip at Jeff and Sue Gill’s property at Millgrove on Sunday 27 November. Turn up by 10am: take the Warburton Highway to Millgrove and turn left at Dee Road. Look for PCCV signs near the end of Dee Road, Melway map 289 A1. It’s only an hour’s drive from Melbourne. A motorkhana will be run alongside the slippery dip this year. Newcomers are encouraged with a special ‘Come & Try’ licence authorised by CAMS. Entry fees are just $20 and $10 for juniors aged 14 to 18. Drivers will try to negotiate varying courses, some quite slippery, on increasingly steep slopes or drive around at moderate speed to test your manoeuvring skills against the clock. Please bring some food for lunch. A BBQ will be available, plus there is a very good bakehouse with pies and excellent coffee in Millgrove, just down the track. Jeff has even installed a proper toilet up the mountain. Even if you don’t want to enter come to have a look at what we do for fun. Any vehicle can drive in to see the action in complete safety.
