Milton’s Meander and DECA

MILTON’S MEANDER SATURDAY 27 JUNE Once again I will try and find roads less travelled as we meander to Shepparton on a great Saturday drive, as preparation for DECA on Sunday. Meeting place will be at the Hunters Tryst at Beveridge with coffee etc available from 9.30. We will set off around 10am. From Melbourne travel out the Hume highway (M31) take the Beveridge exit to the left turn right and go under the highway then turn left into the old Hume Highway and the Hunters Tryst is on the left a couple of hundred metres up the road. The end of the day’s meander will see us only an hour and a half from Melbourne for those who need to return, while the rest of us will travel to Shepparton where we will meet at the Terminus Hotel for dinner. Milton Grant 0419 406 056 PCCV @ DECA SUNDAY 28 JUNE Have a go at motorsport in a safe environment Over the years this friendly event, held at the Driver Education Centre at Shepparton, has proved hugely popular with families and juniors, experienced and inexperienced motor sport participants. Take part in Milton’s Meander on the way to Shepparton on Saturday, then catch up for a meal at Milton Grant’s hotel (the Terminus Hotel) ready for some fun at DECA on Sunday. What’s on offer? Tests will be run side by side on the concrete skid pan. Most tests will be long and fast, with and without water from the newly renovated sprinkler system. Who should come? DECA is a great opportunity to have a go, with instruction if you want. Newcomers, juniors and especially girls (all ages) are encouraged to come along. Absolute juniors, under supervision, will be able to drive free on the skid pan during the lunch break. Interstate participants are also most welcome. Thirty (30) places will be available so make sure you register asap. What cars are suitable? Any standard road car including modern ones. As a PCCV organised event we hope French cars will compete but you are welcome to invite your non-French car friends to come along. [NOTE: A maximum of 4 drivers per car.] Cost: $60 per adult and $30 per junior (12 –<18 years old). participants will also require a non-speed cams licence, or one-day, come and try licence is available for $25. [note: senior's annual ns licence $77 while junior's $25 - obviously better deal than a one-day licence] anything else? lunch usually highlight so bring picnic, food to bbq, plus chairs etc. to enter: contact phil torode (phil@bidwriter.com.au 0432 107 301) or graham wallis (ewal7731@bigpond.net.au 0429 939 619) the pccv website www.pccv.org>
