Economy run and navigation test, Sunday 5 March

This is the first PCCV run Economy Run for several years. Tony Ahearne is the director so we can expect an interesting event. The aim of this is event is to have an entertaining social drive with a little challenge attached. We have extended an invitation – challenge – to Fiat Car Club members and friends, as they invite PCCV members to their event every year. This is our chance to show the Fiat guys that Peugeots are more economical than Fiats (or not). The event is on Sunday 5 March, participants need to fill up with fuel and book-in at 8.30am at the BP petrol and service station on Cooper St at Hume Freeway Northpoint. You will be given written instructions on the route to follow. Good chance for juniors to have a go at navigating. And for learner drivers to clock up a few hours driving. The first car will start at 9am. We have planned an enjoyable country drive with a few questions along the way, to show you have driven the correct route. We have chosen sealed roads, avoiding busy main roads and no grotty tracks. Finish will be lunch at a country restaurant/cafe where we can have a meal and admire the cars, Peugeots and Fiats, while results are calculated. If you are not interested in your fuel economy, you are most welcome to come for the drive and lunch with friends. Some indication of attendance would be good. Any questions contact Glad Fish gladfish@netspace.net.au or 0410 148 058.
