Ballarat weekend:: important update from Glenn Vagg

Please read this is you are planning to join us on Saturday for the Ballarat weekend.
The roadworks out the front of home are still ongoing, and the barriers are still up making entry via Creswick Road/Midland Highway difficult and dangerous, so we have come up with the following alternatives. Essentially you will be doing a big blockie and coming in the back way.
If you are coming from Melbourne or Geelong via the Western Freeway, do not take the previously advised exit of the A300. Instead take the next exit, which is the C307, signposted Wendouree and Alfredton. Turn right here on to Gillies Road and travel approximately 2km, then turn right into Cummins Road, ignoring all the “Road Closed – Local Traffic Only” signs. Travel down Cummins Road towards the Midland Highway, and when you see the Peugeot sign turn left into the horse stable gate and into the workshop yard.
Those coming from the Bendigo/Daylesford direction via Creswick will need to turn right into Kennedy’s Road (about 1km past the railway crossing, or roughly 2km before Mt Rowan), signposted Miners Rest and Ballarat Racecourse. Turn left at the next intersection, Gillies Road, and then left at Cummins Road, ignoring all the “Road Closed – Local Traffic Only” signs. Travel down Cummins Road towards the Midland Highway, and when you see the Peugeot sign turn left into the horse stable gate and into the workshop yard.
If you are planning to join us for Sunday only, please let us know, either via email on paula.glenn@bigpond.com or by ringing Paula on 0407 271 972 by Thursday, so that we can let you know where you can meet up with us, and so that we can have you in the numbers for lunch. If you haven’t already let Paula know and you plan to join us for dinner on Saturday night, please let Paula know asap.
If you know of anyone that is coming for any part of the weekend who is not on the email list, please let them know of the updated traffic detail, as above.
Looking forward to seeing you for the weekend for the normal chatting, tyre kicking, under bonnet inspections, eating and drinking (coffee of course). There might also be a bit of driving and learning of some things VW and GM!
