To the relief of many, notably Inchcape, the 5008 Allure has come out on top in a four-way road test published in the Saturday Age.
Its competitors were the Nissan X-trail ST-L, the Honda CRV VTi-V and the Skoda Kodiak 132TSI.
All four are seven seaters, and the Pug is powered by the 1.6 turbo petrol engine and six-speed auto gearbox. The price is $42,990 plus on-roads.
