Can someone offer some suggestions please? I have a knock/rumble/clunking coming from the rear of my 406 sedan. I’ve had the back shockers replaced and new drop links fitted. I had seen an identical issue on YouTube with an identical car, and was sure that the drop links would fix it. Not so. I’ve emptied the boot, spare and all, but the noise is still there. Two mechanics can’t find the problem. Even as low as 5kmh the clunk is audible. I’ve run out of ideas. Can anyone help? I doubt that it’s something dangerous, but it’s most annoying, given that a 406 is such a quiet and pleasurable car. I love mine … except for the noise.
