SUMMARY:Ballarat Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The annual Ballarat weekend is being held on the 16-17 February 2019 and as in previous years\, will be a low-key social event\, organised by Glenn and myself\, and includes driving\, chatting\, eating and drinking (coffee of course). \nWe will gather from 11am on the Saturday\, at the Vagg compound at 747 Midland Highway\, Mount Rowan\, where you will be able to have a look around the workshop and museum or just a catch-up chat. To reach Mount Rowan from Melbourne follow the Western Freeway and take the third Ballarat exit (the Midland Highway\, A300)\, turning right towards Creswick. Then drive about 2km until you see the Peugeot flags on the left. \nBYO lunch\, there will be a BBQ available if you want to cook a snag or two\, and there will be prizes for everyone in a free raffle. Or alternatively if you plan to have lunch on the way you should be at Mt Rowan at 1pm so that you can join us for the leisurely drive\, where we will be checking out a shed and ending up with a good coffee.  \nDinner on Saturday evening will be at Sebastopol Bowling Club\, which always puts on a good meal.  \nFor the Sunday\, we are planning a lovely coffee spot and then another leisurely drive to a shed\, and then finishing with lunch\, from which you will be able to head home. \nThere will be a further update in the February Torque and if needed in the PCCV News emails in week prior to the event in February. \nIf you plan to stay on the Saturday night\, we recommend the Begonia City Motor Inn (within walking distance of the Bowling Club) on the Midland Highway in Sebastopol\, phone 5335 5577 and speak to Justin. I have reserved seven double rooms\, for $108 a night\, and one twin room for $117 a night under the name of Peugeot Car Club. DESCRIPTION:Guest speaker is NSW club president \nThe president of the Peugeot Car Club of NSW\, Chris Deligny\, will be the guest speaker at the March club meeting. \nChris wanted to come to our French Fusion travel talk in December\, but he couldn’t get a flight down to Melbourne on that occasion at short notice. \nHowever\, Chris is coming to Melbourne soon and will speak at our meeting in March. \nChris has been on and off the NSW club’s committee for 30 years. \nHe is interested in a variety of cars – some unusual\, including Panhards\, Borgwards\, Ford Taunus and Granadas\, Citroens\, Renaults\, Simcas and Peugeots\, of course. \nChris did a presentation for his club after a solo trip to the Paris Motor Show 2018 (he has a very understanding wife) and he will present a similar talk\, with pictures of various new models seen at the Paris show. \nThis is a meeting that all PCCV members should plan for and come along and listen to an enthusiastic speaker who is passionate about all things related to cars (especially Peugeots). \nCome along on Friday 1 March and enjoy a free sausage sizzle\, have a drink and catch up with friends at the clubrooms at Unit 8\, 41-49 Norcal Road\, Nunawading from 6.30pm. \nAnd why not stay on for supper afterwards? \nFree Sausage Sizzle from 6.30pm.
