The respected and highly regarded Bruce Tayler lost his battle with cancer in early January.
A PCCV member for many years, Bruce accumulated enormous practical knowledge of the workings of Peugeots and was always ready to share his experiences with others.
For ever the source of advice on the care and maintenance of braking systems as proprietor of Super Stop Brakes, he was ready to help the owners of 203s, 403s, 404s, 504s and 505s to maintain their braking systems, whether with stainless steel linings to brake cylinders, fitting new shoes to drum brakes or selecting the best brake parts.
His knowledge of the mechanicals of Peugeot cars was second to none and he could always be relied upon to provide club members with practical advice on how to solve Peugeot problems.
His talks at club meetings were followed by all present with hushed silence.
His tips in Torque are collectors’ items.
The contribution Bruce made to the activities of the PCCV over many years was enormous.
His presence and his contribution will be sadly missed.
The club’s deepest sympathy is extended to his wife June, children Kate, Chris and Jo and grandchildren Thomas, Charlotte and Georgia.
